Ukrainian photographer based in Poland

Roman Butym is a photographer specializing in creating artistic photographic projects. His work explores themes of ecology, overproduction, and everyday life, combining a conceptual approach with visual aesthetics. Photography became a part of his life in 2001 when he first picked up a Skina 35mm film camera. In recent years, he has focused on developing personal projects, participating in international exhibitions, and collaborating with brands. His works have been showcased at festivals, published in photography magazines, and nominated for international awards, including: Nomination in the 8th edition of the Fine Art Photography Awards. Publications in The Eye of Photography Magazine and Instagram World Press Photo. Participation in the Lagos Photo Festival. Exhibition of the project Validity Period at the DOM Gallery in Riga. Presentation of works in the third volume of Pralnia and at the Inny Śląsk Art Gallery. Roman is also working on the long-term photographic project Movement, which has been ongoing for more than three years. He has collaborated with brands such as Bioone, CarrefourBio, Starpak, and MegaCreative in the field of product photography, creating materials for digital environments.
